FAQ

Clear answers to the most common questions about how therapy works, what to expect, and how to take the first step.

Before Therapy

No. Self-identification is valid. What matters is your experience, not a piece of paper. Many clients come before a diagnosis, or without any intention of getting one.

Absolutely. Many clients come with exactly that uncertainty. Exploration is part of the process — you don’t need to have the answer in advance.

That's completely okay, and it happens often. The fit between you and your therapist matters enormously for how therapy goes, so I won't take it personally. You can tell me openly, or simply stop. If you'd like, I can point you towards a colleague who might be a better match for what you need.

I work one-to-one, with adults only. I don't offer couples or family therapy.

I currently work exclusively with adults (18 and over).

Many people aren't sure who to turn to, and that's understandable. A psychiatrist is a doctor: they can make a medical diagnosis and prescribe medication. A psychologist assesses and, depending on their training, may also offer therapy. I'm a psychotherapist: I work through conversation and the relationship between us, so we can understand together what's weighing on you and find ways to change it. These professionals often collaborate, and if you need something beyond what I can offer, I'll tell you openly and point you in the right direction.

No. I'm a psychotherapist, not a psychiatrist, so I don't prescribe or manage medication. But I can collaborate alongside your doctor, with your consent.

My practice isn't an emergency service, and I can't offer immediate support between sessions. If you're in crisis or feel you're in danger, call 999 or contact your local emergency services. In the UK you can call Samaritans free on 116 123, any time, day or night. In Romania you can call depreHUB free, around the clock, on 0374 456 420. In our sessions we can build a plan together that you can rely on in hard moments.

The Sessions

We meet via Google Meet at the scheduled time. You need a stable internet connection, a private space, and a device with a camera and microphone. Online therapy is just as effective; for many neurodivergent clients it's actually preferred — you're in your own sensory environment, where you feel safe.

We get to know each other. I understand what brings you and what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to share everything at once. We go at your pace.

You don't have to keep eye contact if it isn't comfortable — you can look away, move around, fidget with an object, or do whatever helps you regulate. You can turn the camera off if you genuinely need to. At the same time, if you're okay leaving it on, it helps me enormously: it's much easier for me to understand and read your state and the meaning of what you're saying when I can see your expression. We'll find the option together that respects your sensory comfort and keeps us connected.

Usually once a week, to build continuity. Only in rare cases do I work less frequently than that.

Yes. I work Monday to Thursday, between 12:00 and 19:00 UK time — which is 14:00–21:00 Romanian time. Many clients in Romania choose the evening slots, which fit around a normal working day.

Therapy here is open-ended — there's no set number of sessions or fixed end date. Some people work through a specific concern over a few months; others engage in longer-term work for deeper exploration. We review regularly, and you can end whenever you feel ready.

I work in Romanian and English. You choose the language you feel most comfortable expressing yourself in.

Fees & Payment

£70 per session (50 minutes). For clients in Romania and Eastern Europe: £50. The initial 30-minute consultation is free.

Payment is made in advance, before each session, by bank transfer or Revolut. We agree the details together at the initial consultation.

I don't work directly with private insurers, but I can provide a receipt or invoice for reimbursement through your policy. Check your insurer's terms beforehand.

Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours notice. A session cancelled with less than 24 hours notice is charged in full.

Neurodivergence

I work with autistic adults, people with ADHD, AuDHD and a PDA profile, as well as people still exploring whether they are neurodivergent. Common themes: neurodivergent burnout, anxiety, sensory overload, masking and its cost, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, identity, and the effects of a late diagnosis.

IFS (Internal Family Systems), Schema Therapy, DBT skills, somatic and polyvagal approaches. I integrate and adapt them to your needs — not a single rigid protocol.

Yes, subject to standard ethical limits (risk to self or others). I follow GDPR. I am a UK-registered therapist.

Through the Contact page you can book a free 30-minute initial consultation. No pressure, no commitment.
