Adult autism screening test (RAADS-14)

The RAADS-14 is a brief screening questionnaire for autistic traits in adults: 14 items covering the social, sensory and attentional domains — reading other people, unusual sensory responses, functioning in groups, and knowing what others expect. It was designed as a starting point for adults who suspect they may be autistic.

This is a self-check you can complete online in about four minutes. You get your score straight away, with a plain-language interpretation; a score of 14 or more suggests that a full autism assessment is worth exploring. It is a first orientation, not a diagnosis — a formal assessment is always made by a qualified professional.

Written from a neurodivergence-affirming stance: autism is described as a different neurotype with real support needs, not a disorder to fix. The score can be influenced by anxiety or by years of masking, so it reads best alongside a camouflaging check and, for many, an ADHD screen (AuDHD is common).

  • 14 items, about 4 minutes, instant score and interpretation
  • Based on the RAADS-14 (Eriksson, Andersen & Bejerot, 2013)
  • Anonymous — nothing to sign up for
  • Screening for orientation only, not a clinical diagnosis

"Not sure about my answer" if your answer is only an approximation, mark it. It does not change the score — it just shows me where we can come back together.
